Small teams carry whole communities. We help carry the load.
We show up for the causes that hold a community together
CareLabs is a small team that works for charitable causes, community institutions, and the neighborhood projects everyone relies on and nobody is paid to run. We take on the work an organization cannot get to on its own, and we hand it back when it is done.
Who we help
Charitable causes, community institutions, and the projects a neighborhood is counting on.
Small nonprofits
Teams of two to twenty doing the work of fifty. We fill the gaps you cannot afford to hire for.
Community institutions
Libraries, schools, clinics, shelters, rec centers. The places a neighborhood leans on when things get hard.
Mutual aid and neighbor groups
Informal groups with no 501(c)(3) and no time to get one. Help without the paperwork.
Public goods projects
Parks, gardens, food programs, civic tools. Things everyone uses and nobody owns.
When the need spikes
A grant falls through, a freezer dies, a shelter doubles overnight. We move in days, not quarters.
Causes just getting started
People with something worth doing and no organization behind it yet. We help you get the first version standing.
What we do
No grant cycle. No consulting retainer. No minimum size.
How it works
You stay in charge of the cause. We bring what is missing.
Bring us the project you cannot get to
Tell us what your community needs. Within a week you will have a plan, a budget, and an honest answer on what we can cover.
Not a registered nonprofit? Neighborhood groups and volunteer projects are welcome too.
